STOLEN VALOR! Austin Arthur Doubles Down On His Fake Past As A Miami-Dade Firefighter
Austin Arthur Received His GED In A Juvenile Detention Institute
Arthur Austin has responded to our claims of his sickening act of stolen valor. Arthur claimed to have been a firefighter in his youth in Miami. Now, he is doubling down on his claims of being a full fledged firefighter. He claims he was a fire fighter for Miami-Dade County (MDC) in 2006 when he was 19. This is highly unlikely.
MDC’s application requirements are relatively low. You only need to be 18 years-old and have a valid drivers license.
However, once you get accepted, you are in a probationary period. During the probationary period, an applicant needs to do the following:
- Take a Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT).
- Background Check (inclusive of a criminal history background check and a department of motor vehicle driver license check).
- Psychological Evaluation.
- Applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment must pass a pre-employment medical examination based on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard and the psychological exam.
- The examination will include Alcohol and Drug screening.
- All results from the medical examination are final, binding, and not subject to appeal.
- Eligible applicants must accurately complete a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) and pass an extensive background check, including fingerprint checks.
- Must meet all moral and criminal background guidelines including all additional employment requirements mandated by Florida Statutes for certification.
- Personnel who do not possess a State of Florida EMT certification or who do not have official transcripts of a two-year college degree or higher must present passing post-secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) scores or an Exemption Letter from Miami-Dade College – Medical Campus.
- This is necessary to ensure that applicants will be able to meet the Condition of Employment of obtaining EMT certification.
STOLEN VALOR: It appears Austin Arthur’s past as a firefighter is a bald face lie. Why?
- He was addicted to drugs at the time. Therefore, he would have failed the drug test
- He has had an abysmal driving record since he received his license.
- He would not have passed the criminal background check due to his criminal past.
- He never received a two-year college degree nor did he ever pass the PERT test only being 19 years-old.
We also sent a FOIL request to Miami-Dade fire Rescue. They also have no records of Austin Arthur being a firefighter or EMT.
It appears the closest he ever came to being a firefighter is getting a plastic Junior Firefighter badge at a Miami-Dade County Fire Department open house in 1992.
Former neighbors of his parents say Austin did try to imitate Fire Marshall Bill a few times as a kid, They claim he wrecked havoc by almost burning down their South Florida home on several occasions. Did this contribute to why he ended up in Juvie?
