The Florida Elections Commission has opened an investigation into Orange County’s favorite recovering drug addict Austin Arthur. Arthur’s sister-in-law, Shannon Stone posted a revealing comment on Facebook confirming the confidential investigation.
This complaint stems from an inflammatory video where Arthur accused his opponent, Nicole Wilson, of being a racist.
The video clocks in at 6 minutes and 34 seconds. The political novice, Arthur posted the video on his YouTube, and virtually every platform he could access. However, Arthur didn’t stop there. He doubled down on these claims. Arthur launched a barrage of paid Facebook and Instagram ads.
A FACT-CHECKED version of the video is viraling all over Orange County with over 10,000 views.
The campaign then commissioned a push poll via text targeting District 1 voters. He used similar unfounded accusations. He also used misleading questions like, “Would you vote for Nicole Wilson knowing she was a member of the KKK?”
Austin Arthur posted the video 2 days after RealAustinArthur.com went live. The misleading video also refers to statements on this independent website.
As a result, the video has since gained notoriety because of it’s false claims. The campaign video is filled with manufactured and photoshopped citations attempting to link this website to Nicole Wilson. Trust us, nothing could be further from the truth.
